Presented by Women’s March San Francisco
Women with disabilities suffer from double discrimination based on their sex as well as their disability, as noted by the United Nations. Women with disabilities face greater risk of violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation and have often been ignored in the women’s movement. This panel features representatives from local non-profit organizations discussing their work, the challenges of advocating for disabled members of our community and the intersection between women’s rights and disability rights.
